Dollar shock

The Canadian dollar is tanking, not because the economy is doing that terribly, but because investors in the U.S. are ditching stocks and loading up on U.S. dollars.

That would normally be bad news for me, being Canadian, but on the bright side, my PayPal account, which is mostly in U.S. funds, is growing in its Canadian dollar value.
